An Immediate Need for Sunday School

After prayers tonight, Mary Kate asked me where God sleeps. I assured her he sleeps in heaven. Then she wanted to know if he sleeps in a dress.
Me: Why do you think he sleeps in a dress?
MK: Because every time I’ve seen him he’s wearing a dress. You know…he’s that guy at church who stands under the plus sign and wears a green dress and gives everyone white cookies.
Me: Uh…
MK: And why is that other guy in the towel hanging from the plus sign?
We’ll be enrolling her in Sunday school immediately.

LOL — plus sign!

I guess God wears a dress because it’s easier to go to the toilet at night while you’re wearing a dress and the guy in the towel probably just got out of the shower when the stained glass artist came by for a sitting. Totally makes sense MK

Love hoe Kids say it as they see it:). But also in Psalms the scriptures tell us that God never slumbers nor sleeps, and when we worry we can take all our cares to Him because He will still be awake:)

Cindy Daoust Thomson Go to love kids. My husband was fidgiting one day when him mother was going to confession. She had sat him in the front of the church so that he could look at the alter. She waved at him like any mom would using her hand to tell him to sit down which he know the command. He look back at her and yelled “God does not have any SOFT seats in here” Now this was back in the early 60′s. His mother was mortified. but MK has him beat with the plus sign. Good thing she did not put a mcnuggett order in with the waiter like my kids thought the guy with the towel was

Too cute! I remember the first church I worked at. The children’s message was called Special Time with Jesus. I had long hair at the time, and one little boy saw me walking one day and told his grandma, “Look Grammy, there’s Jesus!”

One of my Catholic friends took her new Jewish stepdaughter to the Catholic school her own children attend and her dear stepdaughter asked why there were so many “T’s” on the walls.

Must love kids! I was 8 the first time I went to a church wedding outside of my own religion. I had just made my first communion which in our church was bread soaked in wine, so I go to communion and I got this “white thing” that I continued to hold, after mass I asked my Grandmother where should I put the coin to get my communion, she was not happy with me.

Carolyn, does she ask for a cookie? When I went to Communion & took Lia with me she said, “I want one; why can’t I have one?” MK’s observations are too cute!
