I am so thrilled for you – I just read it on FB!! I read your book about a month ago and I actually have an email in my drafts folder that I have been meaning to send to you. But I just couldn’t get my feelings down the way I wanted to, you know how sometimes it’s hard to express thoughts?

From a fellow IVFer in Canada who was blessed with a little girl nearly 5 years ago : )

Hi Carolyn and Sean!! I am reading your book and now I just heard about the twins you are going to welcome in August. I cannot express how happy I am for you and your family. I had my first daughter, then my son came at 32 weeks, I then had a bout with infertility but didn’t go through IVF, we did AI but didn’t work. We had 3 miscarriages before I was blessed with 3 more big babies. So, I can feel your pain. I can not tell you how glad I was that you were able to find Jennifer and able to add to your family. I felt for you when I read about the “mix up” that my heart just about fell out of my chest. You are an inspiration to all those who want to be parents and your kids are lucky to have you and Sean as parents. I would like to give a kudos out to Ryan and Drew in their accomplishments in track as well. That is a great feeling to know that other parents are so active in their kids sports. Keep up the great work and congrats on the twins. Do you know what they are yet? I would like to make blankets for them (I love to knit) so I would be honored to make them for the babies. Please let me know. Good Luck to the whole family!

    Tina

My husband and I are very happy for you and Sean. I don’t you personally but Sean has been our financilly adviser for a long time and his sister knows my son Archie. Good luck and may God bless your whole family and the two new precious ones that are on the way. I also hope that Jennifer has a easy time being
pregant. You all will be on our thoughts and prayers.

    Hi Carolyn, Sean and Family,

I literally finished your book last night and I just opened up msnbc and saw the wonderful news! I can honestly tell you that I shed many tears over the past few days (I picked the book up and couldn’t put it down)…it was one of those that you stay up all night to read. My heart felt sadness and happiness all at once…you are such a wonderful woman and the fact that your family was able to give the gift of that sweet baby Logan to the Morell’s attests to that. Thank you so much for sharing your story…I will never forget it.

    Hi Carolyn, Sean and Family,
I just finished reading your book and the last few chapters were so very hard to read. I sat and cried while reading and could not put the book down…at one point I just asked God how he could let all of this pain come to your family.

I wanted to learn more so I went to the web page …and saw that you are expecting. I am so very happy for you all.

    God Bless,

    Melinda

Melinda, Thanks for your message. I don’t believe God brings pain to our family or anyone else for that matter. I prayed to God several times during our journey and believe that he was with us every step of the way. I honestly don’t know how I would have survived the ordeal without my faith. Now, I know God is listening. I just don’t understand why it seems that he doesn’t hear certain people who need him so desperately. I guess, “WHY?” is the great, unanswered question. I can’t wait to have an answer, but in the meantime will walk on with the strength that my faith gives me.

Thanks again for reaching out. I hope and pray that blessings come to you and yours and when the path gets dark, you are lifted by your faith (and those that love you!)

Carolyn I agree with you that God is always with us. You showed that in the book. I had three children and lost a child 12 weeks into the preg. God was there. I then had a baby girl, a ruptured uterus and childbearing ended and God was there. My husband and I adopted a son. He (found later) had autsium. And God was there. Three years later we adopted a baby girl that they said woud not live past two. And God was there. My husband divorced me, and God was there. My baby girl is now ten (she made it past two!) and on hospice and YES! GOD IS HERE!!!!! Always. He promised never to leave us, He keeps his word!Keep the faith. It to is a gift more presious then life itself!

Julia, So glad to hear from you. We finally saw the Australian 60 Minutes piece last night. It was really quite good and has garnered us so much support from “down under”. We are thrilled as well, and can’t wait to meet these tiny little miracles. Thanks for reaching out and hang around for updates. We promise to keep everyone posted!

    Dear Carolyn,
I just finished reading your story and just wanted to let you know I think you and Sean are absolutely amazing. I cried at the insensitive tone of Shannon’s letter to you and if she reads the book, maybe she will begin to realize what you and your family went through. Congratulations on the twins, I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers. May your life be blessed with health and happiness!

Thanks so much for your kind words! I think Shannon does understand what we went through. Unfortunately, she had a lot to go through too. If you should ever feel compelled, I encourage you to give Shannon’s book a read. It is called Misconception and was published a year ago in May. It might help you understand her side of things more. I know it gave me great insights into her perspective.

Thanks for the blessings. Jennifer is 22 weeks along today and we just can’t believe things are going so well (knocking on wood)! Please keep Jennifer and the babies in your prayers! We need all the prayers we can get!!
