Today Show on Friday! Prayers Needed for An Antic Free Appearance!

Say a prayer for us Friday morning. We are appearing on the Today Show for the first time with all five kids. The segment will focus on the blessings that Reagan and Isabella have been in our lives and the gratitude we feel towards Jennifer for everything she’s done for our family. Jennifer will be there too!
Why do we need prayers? They are needed specifically for our three year old “wild card” Mary Kate. I mean, appearing with two kids who know what and what not to say, and two that can’t say anything, seems manageable, but throwing MK into the mix makes me nervous. I guess that’s because she sings at the top of her lungs for much of the day, and when she’s not singing, she’s usually giving a play by play regarding one of her bodily functions. Of course, the fact that she’s brutally honest is also scary. I hope everyone’s wardrobe is to her liking on Friday because if she doesn’t like someone’s hair, shoes or dress…she doesn’t hold back!
On the advice of her preschool teachers, we’ve been practicing for our appearance. Our rehearsals usually go a little like this…
Me Mary Kate, where are we going?
MK New York City!
Me And what are we going to do in New York City?
MK We are going to be on T.V.!
Me What are you going to do while we are on T.V.?
MK (This is where it gets a little dicey.) I’m going to sit quietly and hold a quiet toy…(pause)… and…then dance like Dora!
I’ve explained that we aren’t going on Dora the Explorer and that nobody dances on the Today Show. That “we just sit quietly and talk”. That explanation was going well, until Drew informed me that the Rockettes were going to performing the Today Show on Friday. I know my daughter and the second she sees a bunch of pretty girls dressed in Santa outfits, dancing like there’s no tomorrow, she’s going to want to join in the fun. So…please…pray for us. And tune in for the antics. It’s bound to be interesting!
Not sure what time the segment will air. It’s live though, so it ought to be interesting! We’ll update our fb page when we know! Don’t miss it!
