So, the other day I remembered that my dear friend, Tracy, gave Reagan and Isabella Halloween themed outfits as first birthday gifts. This was a good thing, as I’m kind of a cheap mom. Unless I find seasonal oufits while thrifting, I tend not to splurge. Not such a difficult strategy for one kid, but with twins, it’s rare to find two “used” outfits that are exactly the same.
Wanting to get as much mileage out of these duds as possible, I pulled them out on the first day of October. The results…well…priceless!
We are embracing autumn this weekend. Tonight we’re headed to the Toledo Botanical Gardens for their Nightfall Festival and then headed to the boys’ homecoming football game. Tomorrow holds a special birthday party for a sweet little friend, and Sunday you’ll find us at MacQueens Apple Butter Stir Festival . Oh..and I’m whipping up a batch of chili on Saturday–recipe to follow and probably baking some more pumpkin bread…recipe here!
And Sunday night, I’ll be passed out in my chair at approximately 7 pm.
It doesn’t get any more fall than that!
